10 years' worth of innovation combined to 2 products: MCSS and Communicator

In 1999, MatchingNeeds started with a business idea that later became known as "Social Media" with successful companies such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, MySpace etc.

But back then, when we said "networking" everybody understood cables and routers.

So we started to build and sell clever, cost effective software that allows people to present their expertise, find experts, communicate, and network. This work has evolved in a software package we call "Communicator".

However, networking is only half of Web 2.0. The other half is working together to create something new. The software to create, mange and share content we call "MCSS - Mastering Complexity through Sophisticated Simplicity".

If your university needs to present its research activity, MCSS is the perfect tool to build a research database, a publication pool, the researcher directory, and the annual reporting tool - all in one.

Communicator is the perfect starting point for expert networks, membership administration, and directories.

MCSS - Mastering Complexity through Sophisticated Simplicity

MCSS is an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system adapted to the needs of Small and Midsized Enterprises (SMEs) as well as universities and other research institutions.

MCSS facilitates 3 core processes

  • Gather: information and data gathering from various sources such as online databases (PubMed), other system (SAP), clever import functionality as well as intuitive user interfaces
  • Compile: combine information and data into online and offline reports tailored to the target audience. Access to the data is ruled through a sophisticated rights system. Users only see what they are entitled to see. Compiling includes creating beautifully formatted PDF documents where the content comes from thousands of data entries all combined into one document - complete with tables, graphs, nicely hyphenated texts, perfect page breaks, and an interlinked table of content.
  • Share: define the access channels that fit your target audiences and stakeholders. Configure self-serves as well as push services. Control who gets what information when. Use the dissemination of information strategically.
